1. Who you contract with
Your accommodation contract is with the campground, not with Camp44.
Camp44 operates the booking system on the campground's behalf. Payments
are collected into the campground's own payment account.
2. Prices
All prices shown include VAT and every mandatory cost except tourist tax
where it is stated separately as a per-person/per-night amount collected on
behalf of the municipality. The total shown at checkout is the total you owe
— there are no fees added afterwards (Omnibus Directive price-transparency
posture: the first price you see is the full price).
3. No 14-day withdrawal right — and what applies instead
Under Art. 16(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive),
accommodation booked for specific dates is **exempt from the 14-day
withdrawal right** that applies to most online purchases. Instead, the
campground's cancellation policy shown at checkout applies. It is stated
in refund tiers (e.g. "100% refund until 30 days before arrival, 50% until
14 days, none after") and is applied exactly as displayed at the time you
booked — later policy changes never affect an existing booking.
4. Deposits and balance
Where the campground uses deposits, the checkout states the deposit
percentage and the exact date the balance will be charged (automatically, to
the payment method you used). If an automatic charge fails you receive a
secure payment link; the booking may be treated under the cancellation
policy if the balance remains unpaid at arrival.
5. Changes by you
You may change dates or party through your booking page, subject to
availability and the same rate rules as a new booking (your original
discount conditions are honored). Price differences are charged or refunded;
documents are corrected with credit notes, never edited.
6. Damage deposits
Some accommodations require a refundable damage pre-authorization at
check-in. Card holds expire after roughly 7 days and are released at
check-out unless damage is recorded; any capture is itemized.
7. Behaviour, house rules, liability
The campground's house rules (quiet hours, pets, vehicles) shown on its page
form part of the contract. Statutory liability rules apply; nothing here
limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Guest registration
Where national law requires guest registration you must supply accurate
identity data for your party before or at check-in. Data handling is
described in the Privacy Policy.
Founding-Partner Addendum (operators)
Applies to the first 15 founding campgrounds only (decision D1).
- Subscription discount: −50% for 12 months from go-live.
- After 12 months: the then-current list price, **locked for the lifetime of
the subscription** (no future list-price increases apply to you).
- The cap of 15 founding partners is enforced in the billing system; the
discount rolls off automatically — no surprise invoices.
